Setting goals is an important part of a weight loss programme. These objectives should be regular but not too close together. A check-up on your goals and where you're at once a month is a perfectly good pace. This will allow you to view your progress over time and it also means that a little mistake once in a while won't interfere with keeping you on track. You must make sure that the goals you set yourself aren't too excessive. It's useless or even counter-productive to set unattainable goals unless you want to feel demotivated... and very quickly at that! Whenever you achieve a goal - whether it's weight loss, a centimetre off the waistline, etc... Treat yourself to a small reward e.g. a new top... in your new size, a piece of sporting equipment, some new tracks for your iPhone jogging playlist. Anything (but not cake)! To increase your chances of success, share your programme and progress with friends... choose people who will encourage you... people who will help you stay relaxed!
